Ambridge Water Authority is a municipal authority, incorporated within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. As such, it is a unit of government, not a private or publicly-owned business. Directors are appointed by action of Ambridge Borough Council (our incorporating municipality).
The following gives you information on the individuals that control and manage the authority, as well as the professionals that provide guidance and expertise.
The history of how AWA came into existence is very rich and interesting. Many extremely capable and dedicated people contributed to the development of the water system as it presently exists. It was, at times, difficult work, not always appreciated or popular with the public. We pay tribute to those who had the foresight and fortitude to proceed.
